|Reading:||John 1, Romans 14, Galatians 3, Hebrews 11|
|The last few months, we have been exploring parts of the fruit of the Spirit, created within us when we allow the Spirit to work in us.This month we will be focusing on Faithfulness – our dependability to God and our trust in Him.
As believers, any of our actions that is not informed by God’s character, not driven by trust in Him, or influenced by the Spirit, is sin, Romans 14:23, tells that “For whatever does not proceed from faith, is sin”.
Faithfulness is necessary when God’s promises seem to completely contradict our reality – when we experience hardships or any other life’s challenges or evil strikes, often fear set’s in – that’s when we need to demonstrate Faith the most as it protects us from fear.
Galatians 3:11, tells us that “The righteous shall live by faith”, therefore, as Children of the most High God, apart from the fact that Faith is necessary to please God, we should trust and have confidence that His promises concerning us will be fulfilled; Hebrews 11:1 says that “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen”.
God is faithful, and He grants that quality to His children. The Holy Spirit produces in Us, His faithfulness. As a result, we believe God is Who He says He is and that He will do what He says He will do. His faithful character directly affects our lives. We have an assurance that there is nothing to fear as we wait for HIS will / promises to manifest.
